What is the process for creating a Sharing Profile?
If you didn't have time to create a profile when registering you can add a Sharing Profile at any time as a Basic or Subscribed Member. Just sign in and click on 'Create a Sharing Profile'. Our Customer Care team review every profile before they are viewable on the site. For this reason, it can take up to 48 hours before your new Sharing Profile is available for viewing. We'll let you know via email when it's been reviewed and approved.
I just want to search for people. Why should I create a Sharing Profile?
You're here to meet people to share an expensive purchase, and a Sharing Profile helps you do that. Creating a Sharing Profile will allow us to find members who are right for you, and make sure you're right for them. Don't be shy, remember, it's the only way other members can find you and decide whether they want to share something with you!
How do I update or edit my Sharing Profile after it's been posted?
You can edit your Sharing Profile whenever you want by signing in and clicking on My Sharing Profile. After you've finished updating your Sharing Profile, just hit 'Send for approval', give our Customer Care team time to review it (within 48 hours), and you're good to go. Your old Sharing Profile will continue to be shown in searches, until the new one is approved.
Can I hide my Sharing Profile so other members can't see it?
You can take a break by hiding your Sharing Profile at any time. You might be going on holiday so be unavailable to answer messages, or for any other reason, it's up to you. To temporarily disappear, just sign in and click on Hide/show your Sharing Profile and make the appropriate selection under Visibility Options. Your account will remain active but your Sharing Profile will no longer appear in searches.
What are member 'Property Matches'?
When you post a Sharing Profile, you provide certain information about yourself as well as the type of property you are looking to share. We can use this information to find those members who meet your criteria for a property match, and who also have specified that they are looking for someone like you. The more information you put in your Sharing Profile, the easier this is to do. You must have a Sharing Profile and be a Subscribed Member in order to use our matching service. If you've asked to receive member Property Matches by email, we'll send you a weekly email alert of your potential Property Matches.
How often should I check the site for new members?
People are registering with our site all the time so you can come back as often as you wish! However, if you're a Subscribed Member you can opt to receive a weekly email alert detailing any new and current Property Matches.
